FEAP 2: The Learning Environment. To maintain a student-centered learning environment that is safe, organized, equitable, flexible, inclusive, and collaborative, the
effective educator consistently:

I use many strategies throughout the day to manage the student's attention, such as, "calling all...", "Superheroes" and counting down from five.
Students earn coins independently for showing expected expectations.
Tables combine earned money and agree to purchase a pass from Ms. Johnson's Store.
A copy of the daily schedule is posted at each teachers table to ensure we stay on time and a copy is posted on white board for students to reference.
To keep organized I provide students supplies in clear containers to keep everything together and so that the students can see what's in it without opening it.
The classroom library offers a large quantity of books that are great for exposing students to a variety of diverse cultures. Teacher has access to many books that respect and inform students on other cultures.
We use DOJO to keep track of student's behavior. Students love the excitement of not knowing if they were the one to get the positive ding and parents like being able to see their kid's behavior on the spot.
The data center keeps track of the goals and progress of all students. Students are encouraged to review their progress weekly at the data center as it is updated with their scores.
Teacher models oral communication skills by having the students repeat after me while reading the SWBAT.
The Smart Board is used for inactive lessons to watch the morning new, and also to visit educational website, such as Brain Pop Jr.
Reading centers are grouped according to their reading ability. All groups focus on the same skill, but lesson will be meet the group's accommodations by using an appropriate leveled reader.
Teachers are encouraged to hang "Class Issue Bin" posters in the room for students to access. Students can openly communicate with the teacher by writing on a post-it note and sticking it in the corresponding pouch.
The SOLOM allowed me to identify the level of the ESOL student and understand what the student needs extra support in.
Students have access to many assistive technologies to help them interactive with peers and achieve their educational goals. Such technology consist of reading dome, document holder, and iPad with apps to allow student to interact with peers, as well as communicate with teachers. The items used for assist students in need are truly a blessing in helping the students reach their full potential,
