The Impact on Student Learning project demonstrates my ability to collect and diagnose the student's weakest area in a subject. The data was analyzed and applied to creating a lesson plan to help all students reach mastery in the given subject.

The majority of the students struggle with even the most basic sight words. Everyday students start my center by practicing sight words. Students show mastery of word list by reading the list fluently. Students earn a star for each list mastered.

To the left is a snapshot of the diagnostic report for the students AR data. We use this data to determine the student's reading ability, recommendation for their AR goal, percentage earned on comprehension book test, and the number of points earned throughout the quarter. Students are required to earn 85% or higher and a point goal agreed upon by student and teacher. We use this report to maintain the student's track.

DESCRIPTION

The picture on the left shows a student receiving individualize checkpoint instruction. According to the student's IEP, if student can verbally answer a short answer question, the teacher can write the answer on a scrap paper for student to copy spelling.

Parents and caregivers are informed of student's weekly scores through the week's grade section on the class weekly newsletter. Students and their family can ensure high scores on all weekly test by reviewing the newsletter for the week's skills.

The images on the right are an example of the student data binders. Each student has their own binder and plays a role in setting their goals and reviewing their progress with the teacher each quarter.

The picture on the right is a snapshot of Focus. Focus is an online program that records the student's grades. The program atomically totals the assignments average at the bottom of the page making it easy for the teacher to see the class average on an assignment.
