Final Reflecction

Completion of the FEAPs portfolio allowed me to reflect on my time as a student teacher and to see the growth I have made in the short four months of internship. This project has modeled me into the teacher I want to be, helped me find my creative side and plan engaging and curriculum based lesson plans, showed me the importance of using student data to build upon students' knowledge and how to grow my professional development and ethics. 

I was incredibly blessed to be assigned a wonderful school and even more amazing mentor. I ended up falling absolutely in love with a school I had no prior knowledge of and felt a part of their team from day one. My mentor was an amazing part of my journey in becoming a teacher. She guided me in ways way beyond a standard mentors requirements. 

This overall experiences has been much more than I can have ever dreamed of. Between an amazing school and teacher and internship seminars, I feel prepared for my future as a new teacher and know I have been given all I need for a successful career as a teacher.
